Overview
Thors hammer was a 2 stage project. Stage 1 was the fitout of the main building which was previously Tip top Bakery. Stage 2 was the construction of a timber racking shed with the purpose of storing timber.
Stage 1 included construction of the main workshop, head office and a furniture gallery.
Together with our client we were able to provide a functional organic working space while maintaining all of the charm of the existing building. This component of the scope of work was completed in 3 months.
Stage 2 involved the construction of the new storage warehouse. The job involved removing the old slab and reinstating a new warehouse over an area of 340m2.
Key Challenges
Our client did not provide a finishes schedule for the offices and showroom. Together we developed our finishes schedule on a tight budget. The brief was to maintain an industrial feel to the fitout which was to keep the feel as organic as possible. The end result was we completed the fitout on time and on budget.
