Overview

FM Projects were engaged as lump sum contractor delivery to refurbish the existing gaming lounge and construct a new Café area adjacent to the gaming lounge.

The work included for minor demolition to existing gaming lounge and the construction of a new Café area adjacent to the lounge. The work was executed without the club closing for operations and was staged to suit. The theme of the gaming lounge was to give it a Vegas like feel with the new ceiling having curved bulkheads throughout and specialized lighting. The new café also required high quality finishes

Key Challenges

A number key challengers were encountered on the project including working in a building which was to be kept operational at all times and critically the poker machine installation was relocated and no disruption to their operations. The staging of the works was important to allow seamless operation of the club at all times. The café also required major excavation work to allow the tying in of new services to existing services which required machinery to be transported onto the work area without causing damage.

Noise and dust prevention was also a major requirement which was successfully achieved.
